PINEHURST, N.C. – LSU women’s golf junior Elise Bradley of Mandeville posted a 1-under 70 in the third round of stroke play Thursday in the North-South Women’s Amateur, just missing the cut to the top 16 for match play by one stroke.

Bradley finished 54 holes at 7-over par 220 (76-74-70), in 17th place, with +6 on the par 71 course (219) needed to make the top 16 and advancing to match play.

Bradley started the day at eight-over par after 36 holes but was able to get back to 6-over after shooting 34 on the par 36 first nine holes. Bogeys on the 11th and 12th holes at Pinehurst No. 8 put her back to 8-over par, but she continued grinding away and birdied the par 4 14th and 17th holes to get back to +6, before a bogey on the 18th hole pushed her up to her final total.

With Bradley one of the first finished in the round, it appeared the cut would go to +7 before the end of the round, but those at +6 held position and captured the last five spots in the match play bracket beginning on Friday.

Lindsay Gahm, who finished her LSU career this past season, posted a final round of 3-over 74 to finish her 54 holes at 11-over par 224 (71-79-74).
