BATON ROUGE, La. – Due to the severe weather in the area, all matches of the Battle on the Bayou tournament at Mango’s Beach Volleyball Courts off of Sherwood Forest have been canceled for today.

With the cancellations, the No. 9 ranked LSU beach volleyball team finishes the regular season with a 20-9 record, including five wins against ranked opponents.

"Obviously, it's something that's out of our control," said associate head coach Russell Brock. “I think the biggest disappointment is that we didn’t have the opportunity for our seniors to play and recognize them. It's always been fun and to kind of miss out on that opportunity and tradition is a little difficult.”

“To not be able to do that out at Mango's in the way we traditionally do it, it's not the best scenario. That’s a little disappointing because everyone wants to go out playing. We had the opportunity (today) to finish on a high note, and we couldn’t get to do that, but it’s been an incredible season. We were able to get 20 wins yesterday and that was something we’ve never been close to, and it’s great for our program.”
