Jason Feirman, a nationally-acclaimed designer and communications professional, serves as executive director for LSU Athletics Creative Services team.
Feirman began his career at LSU Athletics as Publications Director from 2001-13 and then worked as an Account Director and Brand Strategist for MESH Marketing and Advertising in Baton Rouge.
In 2016, he returned to LSU Athletics, focusing his role on the creative and visual direction for digital, social media, print, advertising campaigns and various other projects for all 21 varsity sports. He oversees the design of environmental signage on LSU Athletics facilities, and he supervises the photography staff.
Feirman has coordinated 80 media guides, game programs and posters that have finished among the best in the nation of the annual CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) publications contest. His media guides have won the CoSIDA "Best in the Nation" designation on three occasions — “ the 2002-03 and 2007-08 women's basketball guides, and the 2009-10 men's basketball guide. In 2008, his football game program received the "Best Cover" award, and in 2010, his football poster was voted "Best in the Nation.”
During his tenure at both LSU and MESH, the creative teams have been awarded 38 American Advertising Awards (ADDY Awards) including the 2018 Best of Show for Logo Design of the Mike VII logo.
As a board member for the American Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge for six years he helped lead the organization by chairing committees for Communications, Workshops, College Student Outreach and ADDYs. In 2012, he was awarded the AAF National President of the Year, District 7 President of the Year and Club of the Year honors. In 2013, the local Baton Rouge chapter recognized him with the Ralph Sims Award, honoring a lifetime of achievement in advertising education. In 2018, he was an honoree for the prestigious Excellence in Sales and Marketing Award from SME of Greater Baton Rouge.
Feirman earned a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism from LSU in December of 2000. The Metairie, La., native and his wife Rachael have three children, Cooper, Ella and Parker.
