High-Tech Tailgating: GameDay Just Got Better with Cox
LSU Sports Interactive
Prior to the Nov. 25 LSU vs. Texas A&M game at Tiger Stadium, Cox Communications will bring a first-of-it-kind, mobile, interactive virtual reality tour that will enable fans to compete for a year’s worth of Cox’s video service, Contour.
Fans will have the opportunity to compete in the high-energy, interactive virtual reality game, “Pass to Glory.” Built with Cox customers and local fans in mind, the game places participants in an authentic, rapid-fire, 2-minute-drill. The more passes completed, the harder the routes, the higher the fan will score. High scorers will be featured on the unit’s video wall, with the top scorer of the day winning the grand prize of a free year of Cox’s Contour video service.
"Pass To Glory" will be located outside the south side of Tiger Stadium on South Stadium Drive. The 30’x30’ modular trailers will feature two interactive virtual reality stations, two 360 virtual reality stations, one 5’x8’ video wall and anonymous audience measurement technology that measures crowd interest along the way.
Fans can also commemorate their ‘on field performance’ with a customized green screen photo that can be shared with friends and family on social media.
Keep an eye out on social media for upcoming tour stops in your local area. “Pass The Glory” will make 23 stops across the country, bringing the experience to Cox markets.
Kick off for the Texas A&M-LSU game is set for 6:30 p.m. CT.
