Softball Begins Fall Workouts
Asst. Communications Director
BATON ROUGE – Coming off of its third-straight Women’s College World Series appearance in June, the 2018 LSU softball team is back in action as the Tigers returned to work Wednesday afternoon to begin fall workouts.
Over the last couple months, the Tigers have engaged in strength and conditioning workouts, as well as individual workouts on the field. Wednesday was the first day the team practiced as a whole, working on many aspects of the game, including base running, infield/outfield work and hitting.
The Tigers, one of two teams that have been to back-to-back-to-back WCWS, will have eight more days before they start fall games. The first matchup is scheduled for October 12 when the Tigers take on National Pro Fastpitch team Texas Charge. All fall games are free to the public.
Fans that are looking to renew season tickets for the 2018 season can renew by October 31. Tickets can be renewed either online (www.lsutix.net), over the phone (225-578-2184) or in-person at the LSU Ticket Office (located on the first floor of the Athletic Administration Building). Any renewal applications mailed back to the Ticket Office must be postmarked by October 31.
