Recorded 26 career LSU victories, finishing just one win shy of moving into the Top 10 of the school's victories list ... outstanding southpaw who worked as a weekend starter for the Tigers in 2005 and 2006, earning all-conference honors in 2005 ... member of the 2007 and 2006 SEC Good Works Teams, as he was actively involved in numerous community service projects in the Baton Rouge area ... the 42nd round selection of the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2002 major league draft ... received a medical redshirt in 2003 after undergoing elbow surgery for an injury he suffered in the summer of 2002.

JUNIOR SEASON (2006)
Appeared in 15 games (all starts), posting a 5-4 mark and a 4.70 ERA in 88 innings with 19 walks and 84 strikeouts ... led the team in innings pitched, starts and strikeouts ... turned in one of his best performances of the season in the Tigers’ SEC Tournament win over top-seeded Alabama (5/24), limiting the Crimson Tide to two runs on four hits in 7.2 innings with one walk and seven strikeouts ... helped lead LSU to win in series opener vs. Vanderbilt (5/12); worked seven strong innings and allowed three runs on 11 hits ... earned first SEC win of the season at Auburn (5/5), limiting the Plainsmen to two runs (one earned) on six hits in 6.1 innings; struck out six ... solid no-decision outing vs. Arkansas (4/29), allowing five runs on nine hits in 7.2 innings ... defeated Stetson (3/10), limiting the Hatters to a run on four hits in eight innings ... recorded a career-best 12 strikeouts in complete-game five-hitter vs. Temple (2/24); was the sixth complete game of his career, and the 12 Ks represented the most by an LSU pitcher since Bo Pettit tallied 12 versus Vanderbilt on March 15, 2002.

Named second-team all-SEC after posting a 10-4 mark and a 3.24 ERA in 94.1 innings with 27 walks and 67 strikeouts ... finished third in the league in wins and No. 11 in the conference in opponent batting average (.233) ... limited left-handed hitters to a .211 average; right-handed hitters batted .241 against him ... 6-2 record in SEC regular-season games with a 3.38 ERA, 16 walks and 41 Ks in 64 innings ... suffered relief loss in NCAA Baton Rouge Regional vs. Rice (June 6), allowing one run on two hits in 1.2 innings with one strikeout ... absorbed the loss as a starter in SEC Tournament vs. Tennessee (May 26), surrendering three runs (two earned) on seven hits in four innings with three walks and three Ks ... earned SEC Pitcher of the Week honors after a brilliant three-hit shutout at Arkansas (April 23) ... limited the Razorbacks to just three singles while recording one walk and a career-best eight strikeouts ... the outing at Arkansas was the best by an LSU pitcher since Brian Wilson shut out the Razorbacks on three hits in 2002 ... posted complete-game win over Tennessee (May 14), limiting the Vols to three runs on 10 hits with no walks and five strikeouts ... also earned a complete-game win over Auburn (March 26), allowing three runs on seven hits with no walks and five Ks ... fired a no-hitter through six innings vs. Alabama-Birmingham (March 5); left the game after the seventh inning, having allowed no runs on one hit with two walks and seven strikeouts.
