Baton Rouge, La. – LSU track and field long jumper Jace Attuso has been named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men’s Track & Field Team. The squad is selected annually by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

A kinesiology major with a concentration on pre-physical therapy, Attuso has maintained an excellent GPA in the classroom while excelling in the long jump. Only a sophomore, Attuso owns a career-best long jump of 7.39 meters (24 feet, 3 inches). He garnered a second-place finish in the event at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational with a mark of 7.38 meters (24-2.50). The longest jump of his career came via a windy leap at the 2018 LSU Alumni Gold meet his spring with a bound 7.41 meters (24-3.75). At the 2018 SEC indoor championships, Attuso collected a mark of 7.33 meters (24-0.75) to narrowly miss out on scoring at the conference meet with a 12th-place finish.
