Became the first Tiger in program history to sweep conference titles in the mile and 3,000 meters at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships en route to winning the SEC Commissioner’s Trophy as the meet’s top individual point scorer ... Is the school-record holder in the indoor 3,000 meters with a top time of 7:55.49 ... Broke the four-minute mile at the 2008 SEC Indoor Championships with the second-fastest time in school history at 3:59.85 ... A talented distance runner who came to LSU after a brilliant two-year career at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas ... Was a five-time National Junior College Athletic Association All-American in two seasons with the Texans ... Won a national title in the 5,000 meters at the 2007 NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Coffeyville, Kan. ... Also finished runner-up in the 1,500 meters and 10,000 meters at the national meet ... Was instrumental in SPC winning its first outdoor national crown in program history ... Earned a pair of All-America honors at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships in 2006 as he was the national runner-up in both the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters ...
