BATON ROUGE – LSU senior gymnast McKenna Kelley and her mother Mary Lou Retton will appear on NBC’s The Today Show in New York City on Thursday.

Kelley and Retton will be live from Studio 1A at Rockefeller Plaza at 8 a.m. Thursday. The powerful mother-daughter duo will talk with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb about Kelley’s gymnastics career, her performance on Saturday night at the NCAA Gymnastics championships and more.

Kelley, a four-time All-American and two-time SEC Floor Exercise champion, just wrapped up her fourth season for the Tigers. Kelley along with seniors Julianna Cannamela, Sarah Finnegan and Lexie Priessman helped lead the program to more than 100 wins, three SEC championships and three NCAA National-Runner Up finishes.

Retton represented the United States at the 1984 Olympic Games in Loss Angeles. She won gold in the all-around and also took home a silver medal on vault and bronze on bars and floor.
