Volleyball Travels to Ole Miss Sunday

BATON ROUGE – After falling in two close matches last week to No. 11 Florida and Texas A&M, the LSU volleyball team (5-10, 0-4 SEC) looks to get back on the winning track as the Tigers travel to Ole Miss (10-8, 0-4 SEC) Sunday.

First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. CT, and the match will stream live on SEC Network+. Fans can access the match online through WatchESPN.com and the app. The match will also be available via live stats at LSUStats.com.

Series History with the Field
The Tigers lead the all-time series with Ole Miss, 54-17. Last season, the Tigers defeated the Rebels in five sets in Baton Rouge. The last time the Tigers lost in Oxford was on Nov. 25, 2015.

Team Notes
>> The Tigers  are coming off a heartbreaker to Texas A&M, falling in five sets by scores of 26-24, 21-25, 25-20, 23-25, 13-15. Taylor Bannister led the Tigers with 21 kills and hit .340 for the match. Toni Rodriguez finished with 14 kills and nine digs, while Milan Stokes chipped in 13 kills, her second-straight match in double-digits.

>> Raigen Cianciulli led the Tigers in the back row with 21 digs. The Tigers had three more finish with 14 or more digs in Anna Zwiebel, Katie Kampen and Lindsay Flory. Along with her 14 digs, Zwiebel dished out 47 assists, her 19th double-double in her career and her second in 2018.

>> Bannister is tied for first in the league with Kentucky’s Leah Edmond in kills per set at 4.48. She is second among the league in points per set at 4.99. Both of those numbers rank 17th and 15th in the country, respectively.

>> The Tigers out-hit, out-dug and out-blocked Texas A&M on Sunday. The Tigers hit at a .234 clip to the Aggies .201 clip. LSU recorded 97 digs to the Aggies 90 and blocked 10 balls to the Aggies four.

>> The Tigers enter the season with a total of 294 SEC victories, just needing six to close in on the 300 mark.

>> Head coach Fran Flory is in her 21st season at the helm of the LSU volleyball program. The winningest coach in school history, Flory has led the Tigers to NCAA Tournament appearances in nine of the last 13 seasons.
