Public Visitation, Funeral for Cannon to be Held at LSU

BATON ROUGE – Billy Cannon’s visitation and funeral will be held on Wednesday at the Maravich Center on the LSU campus and will be open to the public, the Cannon family announced on Monday.

Cannon, a Baton Rouge native and 1959 LSU graduate, passed away peacefully in his home early Sunday morning at the age of 80.

Visitation for Dr. Cannon will begin at noon CT on Wednesday at the Maravich Center and will continue until 2 p.m. The funeral will follow the visitation and run from 2-3 p.m. CT at the Maravich Center. Both events are open to the public.

Additional details on Dr. Cannon’s service will be made available as they are finalized.
