BATON ROUGE – LSU defensive lineman Greg Gilmore has been added to the Senior Bowl roster as he becomes the fourth former Tiger set to take part in the premier college football all-star game.

“It’s a tremendous honor to get invited to the Senior Bowl and I’m going to do all that I can to make the most of this opportunity,” Gilmore said. “I’m going to use the week to show the NFL coaches and scouts that I’m coachable and that I can play at the highest level against some of the top offensive linemen in the country.”

Gilmore joins fellow defensive lineman Christian LaCouture, wide receiver DJ Chark and running back Darrel Williams as LSU’s representatives in next week’s game. Gilmore will wear No. 94, while LaCouture will don No. 90, Chark No. 7 and Williams No. 29.

Senior Bowl activities begin early next week when players report to Mobile, Alabama. Practices will be held on Tuesday through Thursday with the game set for a 1:30 p.m. CT kickoff on Saturday, January 27, from Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The game will be televised by the NFL Network.

Gilmore started 25 straight games on the defensive line to cap his LSU career as he played a key role in the Tigers having one of the nation’s top defenses in both 2016 and 2017.

In 43 games, Gilmore registered 104 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. His best year came in 2017 when he led the Tigers in sacks with 7.5 and finished second on the team in tackles for loss with 10.
