BATON ROUGE -- Herman Johnson, a redshirt freshman offensive tackle for the LSU football team, will be one of the features ESPN airs during their visit to the state on Sunday, Aug. 28, for the 50 States in 50 Days program.

The network will broadcast segments of the SportsCenter show from the Gueydan Duck Festival in Gueydan, La., on Sunday. During the show, the feature of Johnson will air.

Johnson, a 6-7, 339-pound lineman, was born in Monroe and is said to be the largest baby born in the state. He weighed 15 pounds, 14 ounces, when he was born on Jan. 29, 1985.

An ESPN crew spent a couple of days in early August in Louisiana filming the feature. They talked to Herman, his mother Karen and the doctor that delivered him.
