BATON ROUGE -- LSU starting linebacker E.J. Kuale will miss 4-to-6 weeks of action after suffering an ankle injury in practice on Monday, head coach Les Miles announced on Tuesday.

Kuale, a senior from Daytona Beach, Fla., suffered the injury in a non-scrimmage drill during Monday's workout.

Entering his second season with the Tigers, Kuale was listed as the Tiger starter at will linebacker going into the 2005 season-opener against North Texas.

A transfer from Dodge City Community College, Kuale played in 11 games with two starts for the Tigers in 2004. Kuale recorded 22 tackles, four tackles for losses and a pair of sacks last season for LSU.
