A Letter From LSU Football Senior Christian LaCouture

To My LSU Family,
My commitment to LSU in November of 2012 was one of the best decisions of my life. My five years at LSU has provided me with so many important life lessons that I will carry with me on my next journey.
I have developed as a man and as a football player under some of the greatest coaches and defensive minds in the game. I am leaving with a quality education and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree. I have learned true commitment to something greater than myself, the LSU Legacy.
It has been a tremendous privilege to wear the Purple and Gold every Saturday in Death Valley. To walk out of that tunnel, hit the “Win” bar, and see 102,000 of the greatest fans will be something I’ll always remember! I have gained best friends for life and consider my teammates my brothers. We worked so hard this year and went through so much but pushed through adversity.
LSU and Louisiana possess the most special fans in all of college football. I would like to thank the coaches, my teammates and the former 18s for honoring me with this special number in my final season. I can’t express how much this honor has meant to me and my family to walk out on Saturday nights with this honorable number. I will carry LSU in my heart forever and will always return to support and cheer on the LSU Tigers.
