FRESHMAN SEASON (2007)
A true freshman who made his presence felt in all 14 of the Tigers’ games ... Finished with 34 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, a pick, a forced fumble and three pass breakups ... Registered a season-high six tackles, including one for a loss of seven yards, versus Tennessee in the SEC Championship Game ... Was impressive in the win over Alabama, recording four tackles, a pair of sacks and a forced fumble ... His second sack against the Tide resulted in the fumble that set up the game-winning score with just over a minute left in the contest ... Against Florida, knocked down the game-saving pass in the end zone as time expired ... Recorded five tackles versus Arkansas ... LSU BASEBALL TEAM (2009)
Standout left-handed relief pitcher and part time outfielder who was a vital part of the Tigers’ 2009 national championship ... Maintained a 2.70 ERA in 6.2 innings pitched while walking three and striking out seven ... Played in 27 games with eight starts in the outfield ... Did not see action on the mound until late in the season following spring football practice ... Tossed three innings and did not allow a run or a hit in three appearances at the College World Series ... Came on in relief of starter Anthony Ranaudo in the deciding Game 3 of the CWS Championship Series against Texas and was brilliant ... Did not allow a run in 1.2 innings of work while walking none and striking out two ... Was the first out of the pen in Game 1 of the CWS Championship Series and worked a perfect frame ... Made his CWS debut in the opening game against Virginia, retiring one batter and walking another ... Made his collegiate debut on the mound on April 26 versus Auburn, just three days after throwing his first bullpen session since high school ...
