SENIOR SEASON (2009)
Played in 12 games with one start ... In a rotation with Kelvin Sheppard and middle linebacker for the Tigers ... Recorded double-digit tackles for the third-straight game as he had 10 - including 2.0 TFL - at Ole Miss ... Tied his career high with 11 tackles versus Louisiana Tech and also had one QB hurry ... Registered a career-high tying 11 tackles at Alabama, including 0.5 tackles for a loss ... Opened his senior season in outstanding fashion against Washington by returning an interception 29 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, his second career interception and first career touchdown ... Also registered five solo tackles, including one tackle for a 4-yard loss against the Huskies ... Goes into Capital One Bowl playing the best football of his career as he’s recorded 40 tackles and 2.5 tackles for losses in LSU’s last four games.
JUNIOR SEASON (2008)
Backup middle linebacker who saw action in all 13 games, including two starts ... Starts came in wins over Mississippi State and Auburn when he filled in for an injured Darry Beckwith ... Finished season with 33 tackles and 3.5 tackles for losses ... Added three QB hurries and a pass breakup ... Had season-best six tackles in win over Mississippi State ... Had five tackles and a forced fumble in win over Auburn ... Capped season with four tackles, including one for a 3-yard loss in Chick-fil-A Bowl win over Georgia Tech ... Had a tackle for a 2-yard loss, one QB hurry and a PBU vs. North Texas ... Other tackles for losses came against Ole Miss and Tulane.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2007)
A key reserve at linebacker who actually started two games in the absence of Darry Beckwith ... Played in 12 games with two starts (Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech) ... Finished year with 21 tackles, 1.5 tackles for losses and an interception ... Played well in both starts ... In first start of season vs. Louisiana Tech, led Tigers with seven tackles, including one for a 2-yard loss ... Added an interception and a pass breakup in win over Tech ... Had four tackles, forced a fumble and registered a quarterback hurry in road win over Ole Miss ... Missed the Kentucky and Auburn games with an ankle injury.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2006)
Made an immediate impact both on defense as well as LSU’s kick coverage units ... Established himself as a key member of the Tigers’ linebacker corps, serving as the backup at the middle (mike) linebacker position ... Named a third-team Freshman All-American by the Sporting News... Saw action in 11 games with one start (vs. Ole Miss) ... Finished that game with a career-high and team-leading 11 tackles ... Finished true freshman season with 37 tackles, one pass breakup and a fumble recovery ... Had eight stops in the Tigers’ victory over Alabama and another six against Tulane ... Considered the top linebacker prospect in the state of Louisiana as a senior in 2005 ... Graduated early and enrolled at LSU for the spring semester in 2006 ...
