LOUISVILLE, Ky. - LSU head coach Fran Flory will present at the AVCA Volleyball Coaches Association [AVCA] convention later this week as part of Final Four festivities held in Louisville. It will mark the second time in the last three years that Flory has been chosen to present at the convention.
Flory will be a part of seven person panel leading a discussion entitled "The Ultimate Balancing Act: Tips for Succeeding as a Mom and Coach" moderated by Wisconsin Milwaukee's Susie Johnson.
"The AVCA convention is a wonderful event for our sport," Flory said. "The opportunity to share with and learn from many of the great coaches from around the country at this type of professional event is amazing. Family and work balance is a topic that is close to my heart and presenting on this important subject is something that I'm looking forward to."
As chair of the NCAA Rules Committee, Flory also will address coaches from Divisions I, II and III during general meetings at the convention.
LSU's seven-year run atop the SEC Western Division came to a close during the 2012 season. The streak was the second-longest in SEC history only behind Florida's 14-year atop the SEC Eastern Division from 1995-2008. The Tigers are scheduled to return 10 letterwinners in 2013.
