CLEMSON, S.C. - Every LSU women's tennis player took home a win in either singles or doubles play during the Clemson Indoor Classic that began Friday.

"This was an ideal event for us to kick off our spring season," head coach Julia S. Sell said. "We played multiple matches each day, which tested our mental and physical strength. We left encouraged by our progress and excited to keep this upward momentum building as we head into our season."

The Lady Tigers saw two rounds of singles competition, against Charleston Southern University and then Clemson University, on the first day of the tournament. The team then met Kansas University in doubles that afternoon.

LSU took victories in four out of six matches against Charleston Southern. Both freshman Ella Taylor and sophomore transfer Mary Jeremiah battled top 100 players in their spring season debut as Tigers, as Taylor competed against No. 69 Romy Koelzer of Clemson, and Jeremiah took on the No. 77 ranked player, Clemson's Beatrice Gumulya.

The Caroline Hudson/Ebie Wilson doubles pair made their debut with an 8-4 win over Haley Fournier and Claire Dreyer of Kansas. The duo earned their second consecutive win the following morning against Charleston Southern's Alexandra Walters and Chanel Bell where they marked another 8-4 score.

Every LSU doubles team took home a win during their competition against Charleston Southern before continuing on to duel No. 22 Clemson University in doubles. The senior pair of Kaitlin Burns and Keri Frankenberger secured an 8-6 win over Charleston Southern's Angelica Sidorenko and Alia Nour, and Jeremiah and Morton defeated Marketa Placha and Susita Das of Charleston Southern 8-3.

Saturday afternoon, the Lady Tigers met Kansas University in singles and notched victories in three out of their five matches. This earned No. 112 Burns, Morton and Taylor their second singles wins of the tournament.

Concluding the final day of competition, LSU took on No. 55 Tulane in singles, and Jeremiah earned her second singles win of the tournament as she defeated No. 118 Klara Vyskocilova, with a 6-4, 6-0 win.
