BATON ROUGE – The No. 58 LSU women’s tennis team will face No. 59 South Florida on Friday at W.T. “Dub” Robinson Stadium at 4 p.m. CST for their first home match in over three weeks.

LSU is 4-2 on the season after dropping a 4-1 decision against No. 27 Florida State last Saturday.  The Lady Tigers’ only other loss came as they fell 4-1 to No. 9 Miami on January 25 during the ITA Kickoff Weekend.  USF is 3-2 on the season.

“South Florida is a very good team,” said LSU head coach Julia Sell.  “They are smart, experienced players who compete extremely well.  We had a battle with them down in Miami for the ITA Kickoff weekend and I expect to have another one this Friday.”

The series between LSU and South Florida is tied at 3-3 after the Lady Tigers defeated the Bulls 4-1 on January 24, 2014 in the first round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend.

The Lady Tigers are 9-3 on the season in doubles matches, highlighted by duo Joana Vale Costa and Skylar Holloway who are 4-1 on the season with a 3-1 record on court one.
