Swimmers Set for Bulldog Last Chance Meet

ATHENS, Ga. – Six members of the LSU Swimming are set for the University of Georgia’s Bulldog Last Chance Meet this weekend in an effort to improve their times to qualify for the 2014 NCAA Championships.

The meet will take place at Gabrielsen Natatorium, the home of the 2014 SEC Championships. Prelims begin each day at 9 a.m. with finals following at 4 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Lady Tiger swimmers Amber Carter and Danielle Stirrat will compete on the women’s side. Carter will swim the 100 butterfly and 50 freestyle while Stirrat will swim the 200 backstroke.

Carter bolsters a season-best time of 22.58 in the 50 free and 52.92 in the 100 fly. Stirrat owns a season-best 1:55.66 in the 200 back.

The men’s team of Marco Gonzalez, Michael Saco, Alexander Linge and Tyler Crosson will look to improve off of their time of 1:18.19 in the 200 freestyle relay.
