The Lady Tigers are looking to end the regular season on a high note. Junior Alex Bettridge owns the second highest score in the Southeastern Conference on the one-meter springboard. Sophomore Cassie Weil also possesses the fourth-best scores in the league on three-meter and platform.
Kara Kopcso, the two-time SEC Female Freshman of the Week, is coming off a win in the 100 fly that set an LSU and Natatorium record. The freshman also took first in the 200 fly. Kopcso notched her seventh and eighth wins on the year, which leads the team.
The last time out, sophomore Megan Cox took first in the 200 freestyle with a mark of 1:48.63. Freshman Devon Dabney touched the wall in the 500 and 1000 free. Sophie Weber also took second in the 200 IM and third in the 200 backstroke.
“We are looking forward to our final regular season competition of the year,” LSU swimming coach Dave Geyer said. “It's that final opportunity to tune up before conference and gauge where we stand two and a half weeks out of the SEC championships. There is certainly an expectation for our women to perform at an elite level.”
