KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – LSU Diving junior Cassie Weil will compete at the AT&T Diving National Championships at the University of Tennessee’s Allan Jones Aquatic Center beginning Thursday at 9 a.m. (CT). Live results will be available at divemeets.com.
Weil will compete on platform and three-meter springboard at the championships. Last year the Beaverton, Oregon native took home bronze on platform with a score of 333.70.
“Cassie has been training at home and in Canada due to the natatorium renovations,” LSU Diving coach Doug Shaffer said. “She has made the best out of the summer to train and prepare for three-meter and platform. This will be her first opportunity to showcase her higher level of difficulty dive.”
It’s been an impressive two years on campus for the three-meter and platform school record holder. Last season, Weil took bronze on three-meter and platform at SEC Championships. She also earned First Team All-America honors on platform and her second Honorable Mention All-American honor on three-meter.
