Swimmers Shine on Day 3 of National Meet

IRVINE, Calif. – The three Lady Tigers who qualified for NCAA Championships this past season shined on day three of the Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, California.

Senior Amber Carter took first in the ‘B’ final of the 100 fly with a time of 59.58. It was the eighth fastest time overall.

Sophomore Kara Kopcso won the ‘C’ final of the 100 fly with a time of 59.92.

Junior Caley Oquist finished third in the ‘B’ final of the 50 back with a time of 29.26.

Kopcso also finished second in the ‘C’ final of the 200 fly during the first day of competition. The Mandeville, La. native posted a time of 2:11.06 for the ninth fastest time overall and a career best.
