Bradley, Gahm in Summer Golf Action

BATON ROUGE – LSU junior-to-be Elise Bradley fired three consistent rounds over the Santa Maria Golf Course in Baton Rouge and captured the 2014 Baton Rouge stop on the Collegiate Players Summer Tour that concluded the 54-hole event on Wednesday.
Bradley, from Mandeville, fired rounds of 71, 70 and 73 to post a 3-under par score of 213 and a six-shot win over Heather Shake at 219. Shake, who will be a sophomore at the University of Houston-Victoria, posted three straight rounds of 73.
LSU freshman to be Sydney Cavin, who played at The Dunham School in Baton Rouge, tied for third at 14-over par 230 for 54 holes, posting rounds of 75, 78 and 77.
In Nicholasville, Kentucky, former LSU golfer Lindsay Gahm of Louisville just missed on a chance to win a third straight Kentucky Women's Open Championship, falling on the first hole of sudden death after ending in a tie after the 36 hole event.
Mallory Blackwelder of Versailles birdied the first extra hole to win the championship.
Gahm, who scored her first LSU collegiate victory in the fall of 2013, rallied to tie the event with a two-under par 70 in the final round on Wednesday, to finish 36 holes at 3-under par 141 (71-70). Blackwelder posted an even par 72 in the final round over the Keene Run Golf Club layout after a 3-under 69.
