Signee Goldstein Named Junior Golfer of the Week

BATON ROUGE - LSU women's golf signee Carly Ray Goldstein was named Golfweek Magazine's Junior Golfer of the Week after adding another tournament win to her resume'.

Goldstein, from Coral Springs, Fla., fired back-to-back rounds of 1-under 71 on the Future Collegians World Tour stop at Inverrary Golf Club in Lauderhill, Fla. Goldstein won the prestigious East Course that has played host to 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments.

Goldstein had 26 pars over the 36 holes with six birdies to finish at 2-under 142 and won the girls division of the tournament by 13 shots over Isabella DiLisio of Hatfield, Pa., who posted rounds of 76-79 -- 155.

For Goldstein, the tournament win puts her just shy of 100 victories in her junior golf career.
