BATON ROUGE - LSU women's golf signee Carly Ray Goldstein of Coral Springs, Fla., was featured in this week's Sports Illustrated as one of its "Faces In The Crowd."

Of the signee who will come to Lsu in the fall of 2013, SI wrote: "Carly Ray, a senior at Coral Glades High, shot a four-under par 140 at Harbor Hills Country Club in Lady Lakes, Fla., to win the 2A state title. With a 71 and a 69 in the two-day tournament, she was the only golfer in the field of 95 to finish under par on both days. Carly Ray, who has won 96 career tournaments, became the youngest player at age 12, to reach match play in the 80-year history of the Doherty Cup, an international women's amateur championship. She will compete next year at LSU."
