BATON ROUGE - The LSU Athletics Department and LSU women's golf coach Karen Bahnsen announced on Wednesday that they had received the official signed national letter-of-intent papers from multiple state champion Elise Bradley of Mandeville, La.
The Mandeville High senior will join the nationally-ranked women's golf team at LSU for the 2012-13 season.
Bradley won the state high school golf championship in 2009 and 2010 and has won two Louisiana Golf Association state junior crowns in 2010 and 2011. In 2010, besides a high school title and the junior title, she captured the prestigious Louisiana Golf Association's women's amateur championship at Koastati Pines in Coushatta.
Previous to her two wins in the state juniors, Bradley had finished as the state runnerup in the event in 2008 and 2009.
The state high school wins came in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association's top classification (5A/4A), totaling 146 for her win in 2009 and 149 in her repeat victory in 2010. She finished in a tie for fourth in the 2011 championships.
"We are very excited to have Elise joining our program at LSU," said LSU women's head coach Karen Bahnsen. "I always like having the best player from our state represent LSU. She brings a championship caliber game to our program and she will help us continue our success on the national level."
