Hey Tiger Fans:

"I hope everyone is as excited as we are to be back under the lights at Tiger Park this weekend.

This week has been filled with a lot of ball, and we wouldn't have it any other way. With last weekend being our season opener, everyone couldn't wait to lace their cleats up and get on the dirt for real games. We were excited to play because we knew we had put the work in, and we were extremely prepared. It was also great to see so many familiar faces in the stands and around the field.

We got back early Thursday morning from a nice little trip to Oxford after a 9-1 win over Ole Miss. Don't worry, even though we were in Mississippi, we brought the Mardi Gras celebrations with us. Being from Texas, Alex Boulet, Allison Falcon, and Jacee Blades have been great Louisiana mentors in teaching me the Mardi Gras traditions. With beads and fairy wings on, we embarked on our bus ride. Wednesday came, we were prepared and focused to come out and beat Ole Miss. With four balls leaving the park, this made for a great Tiger win.

Our journey for this season has only just begun, but we've hit the ground running both on and off the field. The team dynamics that we have is unparalleled and with so many different personalities, there is never a dull moment. It's a delight to be on the field every day with my teammates who double as my best friends.

We begin our Purple and Gold Challenge later today against North Dakota State at 4:30 p.m. followed by Virginia at 7 p.m.  We'd love to see those familiar faces for some great softball this weekend."

Rule the Day and Geaux Tigers,

Dylan
