CST Adds Six Softball Games to Schedule
BATON ROUGE - The No. 10 LSU softball program had six additional home games picked up by Cox Sports Television (CST) Tuesday for the upcoming 2013 season. In total, the Tigers will have 11 regular season contests carried on television.
CST will carry five games in conjunction with LSU Sports Properties and one bonus game as part of the SEC regional television package. Games on CST include Nicholls State (March 13 - 6 p.m.), Kentucky (March 16 - 4 p.m.), game one of the Georgia Southern doubleheader (March 19 - 5 p.m.), South Carolina (March 23 - 3 p.m.), Missouri (April 21 - 1 p.m.) and Alabama (April 27 - 1 p.m.).
Saturday's Kentucky, South Carolina and Alabama games have all had their start times moved up to accommodate the regional television network. CST is cable channel 37 and available in HD on channel 1037 in the Baton Rouge market.
LSU is three days away from 2013 opening weekend where the Tigers will play host to Hampton, No. 22 North Carolina, Purdue and Tulsa as part of the Tiger Classic from February 8-10.
Season tickets can be purchased for $75 and single-game tickets are now on-sale at www.LSUtix.net for a marquee home schedule that features 15 games against 2012 NCAA Tournament participants. The Tigers also will welcome defending national champion Alabama along with Kentucky, Missouri and South Carolina for three-game SEC series.
