Softball Makes Ticket Deliveries to Fans
BATON ROUGE - Leading into Saturday's practice session and scrimmage, members of the LSU softball team spent the morning by hand delivering season tickets to close to 40 homes during its fourth-annual ticket delivery.
"I thought it was so cool to see how invested the fans are in our program," freshman catcher Kellsi Kloss said. "I was amazed to see their dedication. I know our group we delivered tickets to felt so important after leaving our route, and it made us that much more excited for the season."
"I always love seeing the children of our season ticket holders because they are so excited to open the front door," junior pitcher Meghan Patterson said. "They greet us with the biggest smiles. It's awesome getting to experience that, and I also really enjoy seeing the collections of memorabilia that fans have built over time."
In addition to Saturday's deliveries, the Tigers made six stops on-campus over Thursday and Friday. Nine players and the entire coaching staff stopped by to visit with interim President and Chancellor Dr. William Jenkins.
The remainder of the season tickets has already been shipped by the LSU Ticket Office.
LSU, ranked No. 10 in the preseason NFCA Top 25 poll, is one week away from 2013 opening weekend where the Tigers will play host to Hampton, No. 22 North Carolina, Purdue and Tulsa as part of the Tiger Classic from February 8-10.
Season tickets can be purchased for $75 at www.LSUtix.net for a marquee home schedule that features 15 games against 2012 NCAA Tournament participants. The Tigers also will welcome defending national champion Alabama along with Kentucky, Missouri and South Carolina for three-game SEC series.
