BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - LSU third baseman Jessica Mouse and pitcher Rachele Fico notched SEC Player and Pitcher of the Week accolades Monday as announced by the league office. It marks the third weekly award for Fico and first for Mouse from the SEC.

Mouse compiled an impressive 7-for-8 effort sparked by a trio of multi-hit games as LSU picked up a three-game sweep over Kentucky. She also ripped five doubles and added two RBIs from the No. 9 spot in the lineup. The Florida native raised her average by 38 points over the weekend and reached base during her last eight at-bats of the weekend. Mouse saved the best for last and equaled a career-best with three hits in the series finale.

Fico was selected the SEC's Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week and joins three-time All-American Britni Sneed [March 11 & 18, 2002] as the only LSU players to accomplish this feat. She went 2-0 with a save over 14.1 innings of work and limited the Wildcats to three runs, only two earned, en route to 10 strikeouts. The Connecticut native fired complete games during the first and third contests of the series. Fico entered the middle game of the series with the bases loaded in the sixth inning and used only three pitches, all strikes, to retire Natalie Smith on her way to her fifth save. She set a new program single-season mark previously held by Sneed.

LSU wraps up its regular season home schedule as No. 12 Georgia visits Tiger Park. The series starts with a Thursday single game at 7 p.m. on ESPN followed by a Friday twin bill slated for 4 p.m. & 8 p.m. with the series finale being televised by ESPN U.

LSU will wear pink jerseys Friday as part of its 2nd annual Swing for the Cure event to benefit the Baton Rouge Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. A silent auction with a variety of LSU memorabilia and donation tables will be set up throughout Tiger Park on game day.

Tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased online on LSUsports.net, the official Web site of LSU Athletics. Tickets also can be purchased at the Tiger Park Ticket Trailer starting Thursday at 5 p.m. and Friday at 2 p.m. on gameday.
