Hey Tiger fans:
"It's Bou here. This weekend, we're all super excited for our favorite time of the year, SEC play. As we embarked on our first conference road trip, we're started off with a soon to be favorite team movie: The Emperor's New Groove. If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest watching. That is one sassy llama.
As I look around at my teammates for inspiration, something seems off. Then it hits me. I don't see as many school books open as usual. You know what that means, your Tigers have successfully made it through our week of midterms. You know it's that time of the semester when your teammate takes off running at practice and chemistry notes fly out of the pockets of her pants. With all the traveling we've been doing lately, it's been a stressful couple of weeks at school. However, through hard work, dedication, and perhaps a little more coffee than usual, we totally ruled the midterms. Now we get to kick back, relax and worry about the upcoming games at Mississippi State instead of hyperbolic geometry and pathogen parades.
Speaking of games, this opening series brings a lot of firsts and lasts for my teammates and I. The freshmen get to experience the thrill of conference rivalry for the first time, while our seniors must face the fact that this is their last first SEC series.
As I think about how this season is flying by, I realize how lucky I am to be able to spend it with these people. You know you love each other when you spend every waking moment of a long weekend together, and you still want to hang out on your off day. That's true friendship, y'all. We really are a family, and there's nobody else I'd rather spend these six hour bus rides with.
On that note, I was just told that it's time to get crunk because we're about to watch the women's basketball team play at the SEC Tournament on this bus so I'm out. We can't wait to rule the SEC."
Geaux Tigers,
Alex
