JUNIOR SEASON (2011)
Appeared in 14 games (six starts), posting a 4-0 mark and a 5.22 ERA in 39.2 innings with 23 walks and 37 strikeouts ... pitched a brilliant three-hit shutout on May 17 at the University of New Orleans, recording one walk and 15 strikeouts in a dominating performance ... the 15 strikeouts recorded by Jones represented the most by an LSU pitcher since Anthony Ranaudo struck out 15 Auburn batters on April 24, 2009 ... worked seven innings in a victory over Sacred Heart (March 9), allowing one run on three hits with four walks and four strikeouts ... posted win over Southeastern Louisiana (March 1), limiting the Lions to two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts ... defeated New Orleans in his LSU debut on Feb. 22, allowing three hits in five shutout innings with no walks and six strikeouts.
