BATON ROUGE -- A video “flyover” of the new Alex Box Stadium may now be viewed online at

The flyover features an aerial view of the architectural renderings of the 8,500-seat facility, which is scheduled to open during the 2008 baseball season.

The New Alex Box Stadium will be located on the corner of Nicholson Drive and Gourrier Lane, about 200 yards south of the current Alex Box Stadium.

In the new Alex Box Stadium, the LSU baseball team will enjoy 6,000 additional square-feet of locker and meeting room space, new batting cages and all the amenities necessary to field a consistent winner.

The new stadium will feature 700 more seats under roof, 7,000 additional square-feet of restroom accommodations, 3,000 additional square-feet of concession stands, suite-level seating, expanded ticket booths, an arcade and novelty shop, children’s play grounds and a Hall of Fame.

The web site also features images of LSU’s new Tiger Park softball facility, scheduled to open during the 2008 season.
