BATON ROUGE - The LSU Lady Tigers are the consensus No. 1-ranked team in the country for the second-straight week as they have once again garnered the top spot in both the Track & Field News Women's Dual Meet Top 20 and U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Top 25 this week.

The Lady Tigers are contenders to take home their share of hardware as the indoor championship season kicks off this weekend with the 2013 SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships beginning Friday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. The SEC Indoor meet is set to run through Sunday at the University of Arkansas.

The Razorbacks will also play host to the 2013 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 8-9 in the finale of the indoor campaign.

The Lady Tigers are the only women's team to earn a consensus No. 1 ranking this season with the top spot in the Track & Field News Women's Dual Meet Top 20 and USTFCCCA Top 25.

While competing for their 13th SEC Indoor crown in program history, the Lady Tigers are among five teams in the field ranked among the Top 10 of this week's USTFCCCA women's power rankings. LSU will battle the likes of No. 3 Arkansas, No. 6 Florida, No. 7 Georgia, No. 9 Texas A&M and No. 14 South Carolina for the conference title.

The Tigers are also among the top programs in the country once again this week as they prepare for the championship season, earning a ranking as high as No. 4 nationally in the Track & Field News Men's Dual Meet Top 20. The LSU men are also ranked No. 16 nationally in the latest USTFCCCA Top 25 men's power ranking released Tuesday morning.

The SEC features the top three teams in the USTFCCCA Top 25 men's rankings this week as the Tigers follow the likes of No. 1 Arkansas, No. 2 Florida and No. 3 Texas A&M in what is once again one of the NCAA's top conferences. Also cracking the USTFCCCA Top 25 men's power ranking is No. 19 Ole Miss as the SEC boasts five nationally-ranked programs this week.
