BATON ROUGE - With an SEC showdown between three of the top five teams in the country looming this weekend at the Texas A&M Triangular meet on Saturday, the Lady Tigers have held their place at the top of the updated NCAA dual-meet rankings released by Track & Field News on Wednesday.

The Lady Tigers are the No. 1-ranked dual-meet team nationally as they are ready to compete in their first scored meet of the 2013 season at Saturday's Texas A&M Triangular meet.

In perhaps the most anticipated scored meet of the regular season, LSU is set to battle No. 2-ranked Texas A&M and No. 5-ranked Arkansas to solidify its position as the nation's best dual-meet team. The event is set to run Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. CT at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.

Rounding out the top five with this week's dual-meet rankings are No. 3-ranked Kansas and No. 4-ranked Nebraska. While the SEC boasts the most firepower with three of the top-five teams nationally and a fourth top-20 team in 18th-ranked Alabama, the Big 10 Conference features a national-leading five squads in the Top 20 with Nebraska, No. 6 Michigan State, No. 8 Michigan, No. 10 Indiana and No. 13 Purdue.
