BATON ROUGE - Bolstered by a 196.575 home score against Alabama, the LSU gymnastics team checked in at No. 10 in the first regional qualifying score (RQS) rankings released Monday by GymInfo.

The regional qualifying score is determined by taking a team's top six scores, three of which must be road meets, throwing out the high score and averaging the remaining five scores.

LSU earned an RQS of 196.245 while the Tigers hold a season average of 195.700.

LSU will next play host to No. 20 NC State in the Fifth Annual Etta James Memorial Meet at 7 p.m. CT Friday in the Maravich Center.

General admission tickets are only $1 and can be purchased by logging on to www.LSUtix.net, calling 225-578-2184 or visiting the LSU Athletics Ticket Office on the first floor of the LSU Athletics Administration Building.

The LSU Athletics Department and the Baton Rouge community have raised more than $160,000 in four years for Foundation 56's efforts to fight breast cancer in the Baton Rouge community.

Three LSU freshmen appeared in the top 20 of the national all-around standings. Rheagan Courville ranked No. 8 with a 39.370 RQS, moving up from No. 22 in the all-around rankings calculated by season average last week.

Lloimincia Hall is No. 14 with a 39.250 RQS, while Jessie Jordan is 17th nationally with a 39.215 RQS.

It marks the first time three LSU gymnasts have been ranked in the initial RQS all-around top 25 since Feb. 19, 2007 when Kelly Phelan (No. 12), Ashleigh Clare-Kearney (No. 14) and Nicki Butler (No. 16) appeared in the standings.

Courville remained third in the nation on vault with a 9.920 RQS, and she also appeared at No. 23 in the bars standings with a 9.845 average.

Aided by the electrifying 9.95 score she posted Friday against Alabama, Hall entered the floor RQS rankings at No. 8 with a 9.885 mark.

Jordan earned the No. 13 spot in the beam standings with a 9.855 RQS.

In the team event rankings, LSU checked in at No. 8 on vault (49.275 RQS) and No. 8 on beam (49.010). The Tigers garnered the 12th spot on floor with a 49.055 mark and checked in at No. 15 on bars at 48.845.
