Jason Feirman, a nationally-acclaimed designer and communications professional, was named executive director of LSU Athletics Creative Services in January 2016. Feirman, 38, the LSU Athletics Publications Director from 2001-13, returned to the University after working as an Account Director/Brand Strategist for MESH Marketing and Advertising in Baton Rouge.
Feirman’s responsibilities include the creative direction and production design of publications, posters, schedule cards, digital, social media, advertising campaigns and various other projects for all 21 varsity sports. He oversees the design of outdoor signage on LSU Athletics facilities, and he supervises the photography staff.
Feirman has coordinated 80 media guides, game programs and posters that have finished among the best in the nation of the annual CoSIDA publications contest. His media guides have won the CoSIDA "Best in the Nation" designation on three occasions – the 2002-03 and 2007-08 women's basketball guides, and the 2009-10 men's basketball guide. In 2008, his football game program received the "Best Cover" award, and in 2010, his football poster was voted "Best in the Nation.”
Feirman’s 2004-05 LSU men's basketball advertising campaign was awarded a Gold ADDY. During his tenure at MESH from 2013-15, Feirman excelled in the areas of creative direction, brand management, project planning, graphic design and public relations. A former AAF-Baton Rouge president, Feirman in 2013 received the Ralph Sims Award for lifetime achievement in advertising education.
Feirman earned a bachelor of arts degree from LSU in December of 2000. The Metairie, La., native is married to the former Rachael Click, and they have three children, Cooper, Ella and Parker.
