BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s basketball team secured a No. 24 final ranking for the 2013-14 season in the last edition of the USA Today Top 25 Coaches poll which was released Wednesday.

The Lady Tigers (21-13) have been ranked in the final Coaches poll during back-to-back seasons for the first time since the program’s 2007 and 2008 NCAA Final Four campaigns. Under Nikki Caldwell, LSU has collected three straight 20-win seasons and consecutive Sweet 16 appearances.

LSU registered 92 points and was one of five SEC teams ranked inside the poll. On the season, the Lady Tigers played 10 games versus Top 25 opponents which included wins over No. 8 Tennessee and No. 12 West Virginia. LSU defeated Rutgers and Florida who also were in the receiving votes portion of the poll.
