BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s basketball program had six of its former standouts which included Seimone Augustus, Sylvia Fowles, Allison Hightower, Temeka Johnson, Shanece McKinney and Theresa Plaisance on WNBA rosters during the 2014 regular season.

Fowles and the Chicago Sky captured the WNBA Eastern Conference championship by defeating the top two seeds in a pair of three-game series. She has racked up 17.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game during the playoffs. Fowles tallied 21 of her playoff career-high 27 points in the second half of the Sky’s 86-84 double overtime, game two win.  She came away with a 17-point effort in the decisive third game.

Augustus and the Minnesota Lynx took the WNBA Western Conference top seed Phoenix Mercury the distance in the conference finals. She registered 23 points and five assists in game two of the series followed up by 21 points and seven rebounds in the winner-take-all third game.

LSU is accepting $20 season ticket deposits online at http://www.lsutix.net/. The $20 deposit will go toward the purchase of a season ticket or mini-plan for the 2014-15 season. Renewals for current season ticket holders also are available through the LSU Athletic Ticket Office.

The Lady Tigers have secured three consecutive 20-plus win seasons and three NCAA Tournament appearances highlighted by back-to-back Sweet 16 trips under head coach Nikki Caldwell.
