BATON ROUGE - After producing one of the best statistical seasons in school history, LSU women's basketball junior forward Theresa Plaisance has been named to the Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference First Team and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's All-Region Team, it was announced on Tuesday.

In addition, senior guard Adrienne Webb was recognized as an AP All-SEC Honorable Mention. Joining Plaisance on the first team were Kentucky's A'dia Mathies, Texas A&M's Kelsey Bone, Tennessee' Meighan Simmons and Vanderbilt's Tiffany Clarke.

Plaisance was also one of seven players on the WBCA All-Region 3 team. A 10-member WBCA Coaches' All-America Team will now be selected out of the players from the eight regions and unveiled April 6 at the Women's Final Four in New Orleans.

Plaisance led LSU in four categories this season, including scoring (17.4 ppg), rebounding (8.3 rpg), field goal percentage (44.7) and blocks (82). She was the only player in the conference to rank in the top five of all four of those categories.

Plaisance ranked 16th nationally in blocks per game, while her 82 total blocks on the year were fifth in LSU single-season annals. The New Orleans native led the SEC in 20-point games with 11 and her streak of 30 consecutive double-figure scoring games is the longest current one by any player in the league.

Webb, a native of Madison, Ala., ranked seventh in the SEC in scoring with 14.1 points per game. She was also sixth in field goal percentage (43.3). In LSU's 16 conference games, Webb led the SEC in free throw percentage, draining 48-of-57 for 84.2 percent.

Webb heads into the NCAA Tournament with 1,311 career points, which ranks 19th in school history. Her 161 career threes are fifth in LSU annals.
