BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s basketball program had six of its former standouts which included Seimone Augustus, Sylvia Fowles, Allison Hightower, Temeka Johnson, Shanece McKinney and Theresa Plaisance on WNBA rosters during the 2014 regular season.

Augustus and the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx qualified for the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the western conference. She racked up 16.5 points per game which were seventh in the WNBA and connected on 51.1 percent of her field goal attempts, the third highest output of her career. Augustus recently eclipsed 4,500 career points during the regular season.

After missing the first 13 games of the season, Fowles returned to the Chicago Sky where she averaged 13.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. It marked the fourth straight season that Fowles posted a double-double average during the regular season. Her 10.2 rebounds would have tied for the league lead, while her 2.0 blocks would have tied for second place if she qualified for the statistical minimums. The Sky will take on the top-seeded Atlanta Dream in the eastern conference semifinals.

LSU is accepting $20 season ticket deposits online at http://www.lsutix.net/. The $20 deposit will go toward the purchase of a season ticket or mini-plan for the 2014-15 season. Renewals for current season ticket holders also are available through the LSU Athletic Ticket Office. The Lady Tigers have secured three consecutive 20-plus win seasons and three NCAA Tournament appearances highlighted by back-to-back Sweet 16 trips under head coach Nikki Caldwell.
