BATON ROUGE - On Sunday, LSU women's basketball became the fourth Southeastern Conference program to claim 800 all-time victories. To celebrate the milestone, fans can purchase two tickets for only $8 to the Lady Tigers homecoming showdown against NC State at 2 p.m. CT Sunday in the Maravich Center.

The two for $8 tickets are available in the 200 and 300 levels of the Maravich Center and can be purchased online at www.LSUtix.net or in person at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office on the first floor of the Athletic Administration Building. On gameday, the tickets can be purchased beginning at 1 p.m. on the upper ramps of the Maravich Center.

"Tremendous players have come through this program and know how to win basketball games at home and on the road," said LSU head coach Nikki Caldwell. "When you think about Coach Sue Gunter and the philosophy that she instilled in her teams in winning all of those games, we hope to carry that legacy on for her. When you think of 800 wins, everyone deserves credit from the players and coaches to the support staff and administration who let you go out and recruit these young ladies to represent LSU. It's a special program."

The Lady Tigers (3-2) knocked off 12th-ranked West Virginia and then defeated Florida International to win the FIU Thanksgiving Classic in Miami for their 800th all-time win. They joined Tennessee (1,195), Georgia (839) and Auburn (815) in the 800-win club. LSU was the third-quickest program to reach 800 victories. Legendary coach Sue Gunter was a part of 442 of the 800 wins.

Sunday's game against Atlantic Coast Conference member NC State opens a six-game homestand for LSU in the month of December. Caldwell is just two victories away from her 100th career head coaching victory.
