BATON ROUGE – The LSU Life Skills program reminds golfers that have entered that the annual Shaquille O’Neal Life Skills Golf Classic is still on for Friday at Carter Plantation.

The tournament, presented by Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital raises money for the Shaquille O’Neal Life Skills Program. Through this program, LSU’s student-athletes are provided with the skills, tools and resources necessary to be successful in life after graduation. The Shaquille O’Neal Life Skills Program serves as a means to prepare student-athletes for life after college by focusing on five areas: academic excellence, athletic excellence, community service, personal development and career development.

There will be an 8 a.m. start and a 1 p.m. grouping Friday. O’Neal will be on hand to take photos with all the teams and visit with golfers.

For further information contact the Shaquille O’Neal Life Skills Office in the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes at 225-578-0385.
