BATON ROUGE -- Tickets for the LSU games in Orlando, Fla., at the eighth annual Old Spice Classic are now on sale to the general public.
The event -- to be held Thanksgiving weekend, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 28, 29 & Dec. 1 – is played at the HP Field House at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla.
The field for the Old Spice Classic includes Butler, LSU, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Saint Joseph’s, Siena and Washington State.
Fans can purchase tickets to all six sessions (12 games) for $100 each, or single-session tickets (two games) for $20 each. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000 or through walk-up at the ESPN Wide World of Sports® Complex Box Office.
The 2013 Old Spice Classic, a bracket-format tournament, will feature 12 games over the three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a bracket-tournament format. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face off in a championship match Sunday, Dec. 1.
LSU opens on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 28, against St. Joseph’s at 7:30 p.m. CST on ESPN. All games are televised by the ESPN family of networks.
The family-friendly tournament is a weekend-long affair at the Walt Disney World Resort where participating teams practice, play and enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks. Gonzaga won the 2012 Old Spice Classic, its second time winning the event (also 2008). Previous winners also include Dayton in 2011, Notre Dame in 2010, Florida State in 2009, NC State in 2007 and Arkansas in 2006.
