BATON ROUGE -- On the eve of football's National Signing Day, LSU coach Les Miles and the Tiger coaching staff have put in long hours and logged many miles of travel to replenish a football team that lost 21 seniors to graduation.

LSUsports.net will have complete official coverage of signing day. As faxes are received at the LSU Football Operations Center, the names and personal information about the prospective student-athlete will be posted on LSUsports.net.

Additionally, members of the Geaux Zone powered by USAgencies on LSUsports.net will be able to watch exclusive comments from LSU head coach Les Miles about the player, as well as the prospective student-athlete's high school highlight video. Also, coach Miles 4 p.m. CT press conference will be streamed live to subscribers.

On Wednesday, the Tigers are expected to pull in quite a signing class, one that many say will  be among the top 10 in the nation. No matter the rank, Miles said this year's expected class fills LSU needs.

"The coaching staff has done a good job and they've worked long and hard," Miles said. "We graduated 21 seniors so this signing class has to be a large one to replenish our team.

"We have some acute needs on this team. We feel as if the style of this class is one that will allow us to compete for championships."

Among the needs for the Tigers, according to Miles, is that of the offensive line position as well as the linebacker spot on defense.

"You are always in search of those great players," Miles said. "But, you can't forgo replenishing your football team. We lost some key players on the offensive line and at linebacker so those are two areas that we focused on.

"We feel like we have to have a good group of offensive linemen and linebackers in this year's class to fill the void left by our departing seniors."

The Tigers lose four seniors, including three starters, on the offensive line as well as another three seniors from the linebacking corps.

One position absent from LSU's expected signing class is that of the quarterback spot. The Tigers return starter JaMarcus Russell, along with Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl MVP Matt Flynn, and redshirt freshman Ryan Perrilloux at that spot.

"We're not going to take a quarterback in this year's class," Miles said. "We feel really good about the players we have at that position."
