Football's Dunbar Accepts Position with Minnesota Vikings

BATON ROUGE -- LSU defensive line coach Karl Dunbar has resigned from his position with the Tigers to take a similar job with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings, the franchise has announced.

Dunbar, a former all-conference defensive lineman for the Tigers, returns to the NFL after a one-year stint on the LSU staff. Dunbar joined Les Miles' coaching staff in January of last year after serving as the defensive line coach for the Chicago Bears, a position he held for one season.

"It's a compliment to Karl and our staff that NFL teams come calling when there are openings," Miles said. "We have a quality coaching staff and the guys on this staff are going to have opportunities. We certainly wish Karl and his family well."
