BATON ROUGE -- After taking nearly two weeks off for final exams, LSU's 10th-ranked football team returns to practice on Friday as the Tigers begin their preparations for ninth-ranked Miami in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl with a 9:30 a.m. workout at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility.

LSU and Miami will square off in a battle of top 10 teams at 7:30 EST on Friday, Dec. 30 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game is one of only two during the college football bowl season to feature a pair of top 10-ranked teams.

Friday's practice is the first of seven straight in Baton Rouge before the team breaks camp for Christmas following a 9:30 a.m. workout on Thursday, Dec. 22.

The team reports back to Baton Rouge on Christmas Day when they will depart for Atlanta and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl at 2 p.m.

In Atlanta, the Tigers will practice daily from Monday thru Thursday at the Georgia Dome before facing the 9-2 Hurricanes on Friday night in a game televised to a national audience by ESPN.

The LSU-Miami contest will be the first between the two teams since November of 1988 when the Hurricanes posted a 44-3 win over the Tigers in Baton Rouge.
