CAREER
Played two seasons for the Tigers 2007 and 2008 after transferring from Harvard University ... Joined the Tigers in the summer of 2007, originally as a walk-on before earning a scholarship ... Played in seven games during his career, which included starting the first three games of the 2008 season ... Had 2008 season cut short after suffering a broken bone in his lower leg against Georgia ... Missed the remaining six games ... Had a 3-0 mark as LSU’s starting quarterback ... Originally recruited out of high school by Gar Crowton when he was the head coach at Brigham Young ... Played junior varsity football for one year at Harvard before going on a Mormon Mission ... Had Mission cut short after suffering a knee injury while playing soccer on his day off ... Returned to the United States for surgery and later ended up at LSU ... REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE SEASON (2008)
Played in six games with three starts ... Started first three games of season, helping LSU to a 3-0 mark during that stretch ... Had season cut short with a lower leg injury suffered against Georgia ... Missed the final six games of the year ... Saw action in games Nos. 4-6 as part of a two-player rotation at quarterback ... Played in one game for the Tigers ... Saw action in LSU’s win over Middle Tennessee ... Completed 1-of-2 passes for nine yards and ran for another 27 yards on four carries in the 44-0 LSU victory ... Limited the rest of the year with a shoulder injury ... Granted a medical redshirt following the 2007 season due to the shoulder injury.
